Another injury for me! This time I was cleaning the upholstery in my car, just scrubbing when I felt something snap in my finger! The first knuckle,middle finger, right hand was bent and it would not straighten, I thought it was broken-another trip to orthopedics. I was told that the tip of the finger was pushed too far into the joint causing the tendon to slip away. I have to wear a splint on it for at least 6 weeks, hoping it will mend.
While Shalay was home on spring break, she injured her knee and we made a trip with her to orthopedics-they have been getting too much business from us! More about Shalay and Wolf's visit-have lots of photos to share.
On March 2, I began a three-day training with LaGrange Pregnancy Center, soon to be called First Choice Woman's Center. Right now the center is able to offer pregnancy testing but soon will offer free ultrasounds to all women coming there. I believe so strongly in their mission to not only save babies but also to share Christ's love and compassion to girls going through a crisis pregnancy. I have felt that this is something that I should do, but feel inadequate. I am praying that God will equip me. Today I went in, thinking I would be just given the office orientation, but a young lady was there waiting for her pregnancy test. I was able to observe my first counseling session. As part of the process to become a counseler or client advocate, I will have to observe a counseling session four times with someone who is already experienced. I was thoroughly impressed with Lenore who talked to this young woman. I am nervous but am welcoming a new opportunity to have a small part in helping with this important effort.
