Friday night crop and special surprise

January's Friday night crop turned out to be a wonderful surprise for our friend, Kay Schnack, who moves to Nebraska this week.   We laughed and cried but only a few of us actually completed some layouts.  All present who wanted to take part did a great job of "roasting" Kay while "rolling" her with bathroom tissue!  Food was great!  Everyone pitched in to make our taco bar more complete than Taco Bell!  Amy McDow made Kay a framed collage of group photos and my pennant banner was signed by all as a remembrances of our fun times together.
Kay is going to be missed at our get-togethers but we refuse to let her go-she is part of us and we will figure out ways to keep her!

Stamp Club project

For the first three months this year I am hosting a Stamp Club to include 3 projects.  I have tried clubs before which required members to host their own parties and to spend a required amount each month for a longer period of time.  This one is different in that it is only for 3 months at a time, a small purchase requirement, discount on product used in projects and a free Idea Book.  Our first get-together was fun, everyone who signed up attended the workshop and I think their projects turned out great.

More Family Time

What a precious family I have!  I have enjoyed them so much during the holidays! Having Shalay, Wolf and Ben home until Dec. 24 caused us to start celebrating early, so we really spead out this special time.  After Christmas Keith and Michele and the kids invited me to go along with them to see the new Narnia movie,The Voyage of Dawn Treader.  I had seen the first two movies with them and now I'm reading the set of C.S.Lewis books.  Yesterday we ate our New Year's Day meal a little early so that Kenzie and Landon could be with us.  They head out today to Passion in Atlanta, a conference for college kids.  They just got back from Extreme, the high school trip to Galinberg!  I made them a special dinner-Spiral ham, collards, black-eyed peas, cornbread and cheesecake danish.  Played some more games, stayed up to watch the NY come in and shared some sparkly(white grape juice in fancy glasses-Nathan loved it!)   with all of them-texted with Shalay to try and include her!
